Community Conversation, Part Two
Event Starts: Sep 22, 2016 - 7:00 pm
Event Stops: Sep 22, 2016 8:30 pm
In March, Hunterdon Prevention Resources (HPR) and the Safe Communities Coalition of Hunterdon/Somerset presented The Heroin Epidemic - A Community Conversation in partnership with the North Hunterdon - Voorhees Regional High School District. That event was attended by over 200 concerned parents and community members.
If you were unable to attend that event, or if you want to discuss where we go from here to combat this problem, please join us for The Heroin Epidemic - A Community Conversation, Part Two on Thursday, September 22, 2016. The event will be held on from 7 - 8:30 pm at Voorhees High School, located at 256 Route 513 in Glen Gardner, NJ.
"We want to hear from the community; their feedback and ideas need to be added to what is being discussed by the prevention professionals in order to make a difference," said Cathy Canterino, Coalition Associate. At the first event held in March, there were so many questions from attendees that the agenda for the evening was changed so that as many questions as possible were answered. "Part Two has been formatted so that attendees will participate in breakout groups to help develop community-based solutions to the growing heroin problem in our County."
The event is part of the North Hunterdon - Voorhees Community Health & Wellness Education Series and is intended for parents, youth and community members from its sending districts; however, all Hunterdon County residents are welcome.
