15-Minute Child Presentation

 

Dear Concerned Parent,

The Partnership for Drug Free New Jersey will present a live version of their 15 Minute Child Break webinar at the Hunterdon County Family Success Center (FSC) on May 21 at 6:00 pm.  This informative, engaging, and educational presentation focuses on the issue of talking to children about the dangers of drugs.

The 15-Minute Child Break is for parents, grandparents and caregivers who are concerned about children (of any age) and substance abuse. Participants receive age specific information and communication skills concerning substance abuse.

National Take Back Day - April 27, 2013

Hunterdon Prevention Resources and the Safe Communities Coalition would like to thank everyone who participated in the DEA National Take-Back Day on April 27th. 

We continue to urge you to safely dispose of any unused, unwanted or expired medications by bringing them to a permanent drop-off location near you.  For a listing of the permanent boxes in Hunterdon and/or Somerset County, please click on the Prescription Drugs button to the right.  

Since it was installed in October 2011, the Sheriff's Office has collected 1,283 pounds of Rx medications at the permanent drop-off box located at the Hunterdon County Justice Center.

Coalition Meeting Schedule

Hunterdon County Event Date and Time:  Thursday, May 9, 2013, 9:00 - 10:15 am 

The next monthly meeting of the Hunterdon County Safe Communities Coalition will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Superintendent's Office (9/10 building). 

 

Somerset County Event Date and Time:  Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 9:30 - 11:00 am

The next Somerset Safe Communities Coalition meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.  The meeting will be held at Raritan Valley Community College.
