Syringes and liquids are not accepted at an Rx box. For syringes in Hunterdon County, contact the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office; arrangements can be made with Undersheriff Smith. The Hunterdon Diabetes Center will also accept syringes, but there is a charge for their service. In Somerset County, the Somerset Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital participate in the New Jersey Hospital Association’s Safe Syringe Program.

To find other locations in New Jersey, visit Project Medicine Drop, maintained by the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, at http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/meddrop/locations.htm.

To find other locations throughout the United States, visit the American Medicine Chest Challenge website at http://www.americanmedicinechest.com.

We kindly thank all of our dedicated and proactive Law Enforcement agencies supporting these events, and for all they do to keep our communities safe.

Together, we can overcome the opioid crisis.

Could you imagine what life would be like if Hunterdon and Somerset Counties were drug-free communities, free of the risks of underage drinking problems and drug abuse?

That is the goal of Safe Communities Coalition.
